Alhamdulillah

Alhamdulillah,

Kesian betul, rasa nak nangis tengok keadaan dia...

Yg sorg lagi tu, anak org kaya, umur dlm 11 tahun, duduk di Bukit Antarabangsa, cakap org putih je memanjang. Mak ayah dia pun nampaknya org2 baik. Aku tak pasti macamana dia kena gangguan tu, tapi suara dia pun dah berubah jadi sangat garau cam suara org dewasa! Mak dia cakap, kalau time "benda" tu datang, 6 orang pegang pun tak larat... Dia kata dah buat macam2 benda dah, baca yassin, baca Al Quran, malahan anak dia pun dia ajar hafal surah2 penting tapi still tak jalan. They said I'm Fat" (Jin gemuk kot ni?). Pastu katanya nama dia Michael Jackson. Hmmmm....

Ada sorg tu org Kuala Terengganu, Pasir Panjang. datang all the way to Rawang utk berubat. Nampak gaya org kaya, org bisnes. Tapi kena sihir dengan kawan seperniagaan...

Bila aku tengok pesakit2 yg datang, jadi rasa kesian yang amat sangat. kebanyakan kena sihir sebab bisnes, atau kena sihir dek kawan/family sendiri. Memang sangat2 kesian! Sebabtu tok guru aku ckp, apa pun kita kena bantu mereka.

Celcom Rocks!

I received an SMS from my Celcom Agent last night while doing some shopping which reads:

Good News.

YEEEEEEEHAAAAAAA! Thanks Celcom! You rock!!!!!

A little bit of flashback, about 1 week ago:

We went to the Celcom Southern Regional Centre to take up the Sime Darby Staff special promo for Wireless Broadband Package: 3.5G service (3.6Mbps)+ free Vodafone Modem at only RM90 monthly (vs normal package outside, 3.5G service for a whopping monthly payment of RM99 and no modem).

However to our dismay the package was no longer valid as the modem is out of stock. Celcom only now sells the new type of USB Stick Modem, which needs to be bought at RM399 minimum.... Blistering Barnacles!

We still didnt lose hope, we wrote a quick letter of appeal and whoila, Celcom approves!

Thanks Celcom. You really rock. You really understand my dire need of internet! Thanks Sime Darby too, you really rock as well! And thanks as well to my wife for being an employee of Sime Darby..You also rock! Hehehe

Now I need to start to think about revamping my daily schedule again.. Discipline, guys! Discipline!!!!

Where to go and What to do????

I have received numerous responds to my previous entry on my unemployment hence I would like to rectify everything here so I dont make anybody in agony (like people care about you so much! piiirah!Blistering barnacles)....

My official statement:

I am now serving 1 month notice of termination / VSS from my current employer. The OFFICIAL reason is "Company is currently having a difficult time and has to cut down the number of workers to optimize operational costs". The REAL reason is they (somebody in the management) do not like me as I have always been a pain in the neck for them.. Tu lah, sapa suruh ko banyak lawan sangat!!. It's a coup de'etat by most of 'them' to get me out since I have always bashed them in the meetings. Others are soooo politically technical I cant write here for not enough room to do so...

period

The notice serves for 1 month so I am supposed to be serving the company till the end of December but to hell with serving anybody who clearly declares that they dont need you anymore! So I left early, with last Friday being my last day of service and the company agrees to pay me the full salary for this month (see how they are really deemed to get me out ASAP!! Muahahahahaha) plus some small minute of compensation as "a token of appreciation for my service to the company"

My boss still wants me to settle 3 major customer issues, for which the customer does not want the report to be written by anybody else besides me because the previous guy who handled customer issues were caught with his pants down for cheating the data. Why me? After a rigorous, painstaking visit to customer sites in China and SIngapore, and a series of bashing and scolding in the meeting, they said "they believe they would get a data of more integrity from my department instead of the previous department".... But, again, to hell with serving the organization who clearly doesnt need you! Blistering barnacles.

Enough of that emotional thingy...

Moving forward, I have a few options in hand:

1) Join Western Digital Media Sdn Bhd in Pasir Gudang.

After a rigorous 3 long interviews with the management, they agreed to hire me but now they are under company restructuring so I can only join them by mid of January.

2) Join NXP Semiconductor in Seremban

Have got the offer from them to manage a group of engineers for special projects, which requires frequent overseas travel. I can join them anytime. The offer is great, a handsome pay is waiting but I need to think 1000000000 times because I have a family here in Johor, a business who is ready to expend also in Johor, and also I dont like to frequently travel. Tiring and no life!

3) I've got a call from a close friend of mine who is now doing his full time business in freights and forwarding and he is looking for opportunities to expand his business in the southern states due to rigorous demands and he is asking whether I would join him as a share partner and manage the business in southern region. This offer is also great. But managing a business is not easy as kerja makan gaji. And I think I am toooo young and naive to run a big business as yet! Furthermore I have very little experience and knowledge in the field...

Now that I have 3 instant choices in hand and I am really in a dead end in choosing which is best for me. Please help to give inputs on which way should I purchase, without being judgemental nor biased to anything....Please

Again, to those in London, KL or Melaka or anybody who has any means of knowledge and information sharing with "the chaps in Kuala Terengganu", please do not share this with them yet. Let them have a very good Umrah and let me have all the time to choose..... Please!

On the other hand, I am as happy as a cow (ya, ya! I know this is not correct but this is only what I can think of right now!). My typical schedule for the day is:

6am bangun solat Subuh, sambung tidur lepas subuh
730am Hantar Aiman to the babysitter
8am - 830 am Read newspapar
830am - 11am zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.....
11am - 1pm watch DVD / ASTRO
115pm solat zuhur
130pm-3pm read books
3pm - 5pm watch DVD / ASTRO
5pm solat asar
5pm - 6pm tidur (hehehehe tido lepas asar ustaz aku cakap nnt jadi gile!)
night per normal as before

People said, to be successful, you need to be full of discipline. I am now strictly following the schedule above, as part of my Discipline Improvement Program hehehehehe....

I'm OFFICIALLY Unemployed!

Yes! To anybody who asked questions over the controversial topic of this posting, the answer is YES! YES, I am OFFICIALLY UNEMPLOYED and might have been included in the latest statistics of unemployment in Malaysia for this year... At least I contributed a bit to our nation what?!

Ja, ja, I will be joining a new company soon! This is as far as I will comment on this. Further updates will be brought to you from time to time. Just stay tuned!

And today will be the last day of my service to my current company. I will be in the goyang kaki mode for the next 2 weeks, in which I swear I will take the time to:

1) Sleep..sleep and sleep again (just installed a nice aircond in the bedroom for this purpose!)

2) Watch as many movies possible (I've got piles of DVDs I bought but dont have the time to watch them)

3) Try my best to read as many books possible ( I've got a couple of topics I never finished reading)

4) Surf the net like hell soon after registering the Celcom Broadband Package

5) Ermmm... Anybody cares to buy me an 80GB PS3 ?

WARNING:

To those in London, or KL or Melaka, or whoever has any means of communication or knowledge sharing with "somebody in Kuala Terengganu", kindly keep this zipped up in your mouth. Please.

I know the technology nowadays is sooo advanced such that any bit of information can reach anywhere in the world in no time but please! Until a time it is suitable for me to tell.... Please ya!

Eventually I am also planning to buy the Chevvy Captiva as a subtitute to my wife's old Wira and also as a testament to my deep passion in SUVs since I was in primary school (despite my passion for BMW cars, of course). To those of you who dont even have a minute idea of how Chevy Captiva looks like, observe the pic below

Mind you: It's the CAR, not the chicks! But it'll be nice to have both though! Blistering Barnacles

With the result, I can show it to my wife and have a good solid foundation and reasoning to buy the car. Surely need not to show the car's in picture with the chicks of course!

Not Our Fault Maaa!

I know you guys have read about the Bukit Antarabangsa landslide tragedy last Saturday...

It's an extreme typical Malaysian authority's habit to cuci tangan, tai chi or in other words do whatever it takes to save your a** from being pointed finger to... And for me one of THE MOST stupidest (dunno if this words ever exist), idiotic and crazy excuse they can ever come out with is as what reported in the Utusan Malaysia today;

MPAJ nafi lulus projek Bukit Antarabangsa

KUALA LUMPUR 9 Dis.

.

Now you may or may not agree with me. It's up to you but I really2 think that this is the dumbest taichi ever!!

After this I strongly suggest that all govt agencies to change their name so that in the future if anything happens and people starts to point fingers to them, they can somewhat give the same exact appausible excuse...

I wonder what the outside people are looking at us, for having such a veeeeery good ruling govt. Hey, dont put the total blame on others. You have the rights to vote and you have voted...... dumbass!

Cakra Alam?

Assalamualaikum...

At least give the benefits of the doubts kepada yang tertuduh sebelum kita menghukum!

Aku bukan orang Cakra Alam. Even first time aku dengar pasal Cakra Alam pun aku dah tak berminat sebab "beberapa perkara" (akan aku bagitau lepasni..stay tuned!).

Mula2 baca fatihah..Alhamdulillah. Then baca ayat2 dari surah Yaasin..Alhamdulillah. Pastu masuk mentera2, puja Fatimah lah, puja Aisyah lah.. Kununnya leh dapat muka berseri, orang nak dekat lah, berniaga maju lah. apa2 lagi...Klu camtu maapler yer, FAIL first level screening aku!

COntoh kaedah songsang:

i) Guna Kemenyan

Kemenyan (dan segala macam asap..kentut aku taktau sebab dia tak berasap) adalah makan jin. So kalau guna kemenyan dalam perubatan, maka bagi aku ia memanggil jin.

Ada bomoh yang gunakan jin untuk mengubat. Terutama kalau penyakit yang disebabkan oleh gangguan jin (histeria, kerasukan etc.), diorg gunakan jin khadam diorg untuk halau jin yg ganggu pesakit, then suruh jin diorg jagakan pesakit. For me, benda tak setel. Guna makhluk utk jaga makhluk.

Then dia mula minta kemenyan, aku dah rasa lain macam. Lepastu start dengan bacaan2 dia..Mcm biasalah, BISMILLAH kuat gile tapi bacaan lepastu soksek soksek je. Lebih2 lagi bila aku dok dekat ngan dia, nak dengar apa dia baca (tapi tak dapat dengar so lepastu aku terus bangun, dok jauh2. Maleh nak layan!).

Pak mentua aku yang first.

Then makcik2 aku pulak. Aku dah berdebar2. Nak kena bukak baju gak ke? heheh. Tapi org pompuan takyah bukak baju, jez kena pakai baju loose and kain batik. Siap percaya gile kat bomoh tu. Siap suruh semua org dlm rumah tu haritu discan, termasuk ler anak2 dara makcik2 aku. Astaghfirullah.... Spjg sesi scan tu aku dok baca Ayatul Qursi dan "Ayat Nabi Sulaiman", dan bomoh tu selalu gak jeling2 kat aku. Lantak ko ler bomoh! Bukan ko boleh bagi apa2 pun kat aku! Blistering Barnacles!

iii) Menurun

Yang ni memang sah2 sesat! Ada kawan2 aku yg penah gi berubat ngan bomoh, bomoh tu btukar jadi suara garau lah, btukar peribadi jadi org arab lah, tiba2 leh ckp jawa lah, mcm2. Dah! Jangan dok percaya ngan benda2 camni! Sesat!

3) Akhlak perawat mesti melambangkan seorang Islam, Akidah perawat mesti bersih

Kalau dia tak bagi maka jin takleh tolong bomoh2 lain. Kununnya mcm Head of Department Jin lah ni! Hebat! Dah nak jadi mcm Tuhan pulak ko ye! Aiwah! Mabruk! Gambatte Kudasai! Blistering Barnacles!!

Aku pun pernah gak didatangi oleh lelaki berjubah putih time tidur. Masa tu aku di MRSM, form 5. Aku ingat lagi, masa tu pagi jumaat.. (jeng..jeng..jeng) aku tengah tido lepas penat balik latihan karate, tengah2 tido tu tetiba nampak ada lelaki berjubah putih datang kat kaki aku. Tapi tiba2 aku rasa jari kaki aku sakit.... Rupanya aku kena rotan daaa..Yang berjubah tu adalah Ketua Warden aku time tu (Arwah Cg Zamil.. Al Fatihah), dia suka rotan ibu jari kaki kalau nak kejut org. Dia suruh aku gi solat Jumaat lah! Kehkehkeh....

Jujurnya aku tak tahu mendalam sangat pasal Cakra Alam.

kpd ALLAH."

I have to admit that I dont have anything to write these few weeks. Upon finishing my read on the book I bought (it took a whopping 2 weeks to read it!) my brain turned bleak/blank/kosong/yillek. It may have been due to the rigorous input processes to the brain that made it "forget" how to do some outputs..

Makang Ikang Dalang Pinggang

I have to admit I am crazy....

I have been living out of Terengganu since 1997. Merely 11 years since I left my house to pursue my dreams. I have been to all states in Peninsular Malaysia, became very good in the roads in Northern Malaysia especially Penang and Kedah, I have been to various countries; The US, Hongkong, China, Singapore. I stayed in the North (Ipoh, Penang) for almost 6 years, in KL for 3 years and in Johor for almost 2 years.

But none of the above diverted (or will divert) my one important affection: my passion towards pure authentic Bahasa Terengganu (or one might say Terengganu dialect).

Honestly, the thing that I loved the most whenever I am back to my hometown is to hear the people speak. It's the unique, authentic Terengganu dialect. It makes me feel refreshed, rejuvenated and full of passion. I really love the way they speak the dialect.

Yes, I do speak the same language. I have friends all over me who were from Terengganu and we speak the same dialect when we meet. But it's not that "alive". Most of people from Terengganu, when they speak the dialect outside of terengganu, they tend to control the level of authenticity of the dialect. Many a time there will be mixed of languages with the standard Bahasa Melayu. That is why I dont feel the passion when talking with Terengganus living outside of Terengganu. It is as if their (mine as well!) dialect has not been pure, a lot of influence that were mixed into every line they speak.

I have to admit, Terengganus are not like Kelantanese whom are very proud of their dialect and their state. Some Terengganu folks feel very embarassed to speak their native language in front of people outside of Terengganu. "Nampak kampung sangat", "tak standard", "malu lah".

I've had a friend during my school time, who is from a remote kampung in the district of Kuala Berang, whom were in the same dorm as I were. In the first few days of the Asrama-days where you are in the process of making friends, I managed to know that he is from Terengganu and I was very happy to know that at last I can sometimes speak bahasa Terengganu with him. But then when I started to use the language he refused to do so. He is more comfortable to speak in "Bahasa Luar". Well, I was a bit shocked but what to say...? Blistering Barnacles!

Terengganu people are very shy especially when they are outside of Terengganu, facing others who speak "Bahasa Standard" fluently. Often enough they are always regarded as "Orang Kampung", "Tak Urban", "Pakaian Tak Up to date" and also the very famous "Lemah English".

That was why when I was doing my Matriculation in a college somewhere up north, when I scored 94/100 for the english test and got the College Best English Subject Achievement award, many a people asked me "Are you really from Terengganu?". Some who knows me better would say "He is from Terengganu but his parent's family live in KL. No wonder lah". I would say " Hello bro, dont see us with one eye lah (Jangan pandang kami sebelah mata!)" hehehe...

So to all my Terengganu friends out there or to any Terengganu people whom get the opportunity to read this article, wake up! Be proud of your mother tongue. Don't look down on yourself because if you do, dont expect others to respect you...

Last but definitely not least, jom Layan the best poem ever (translated), especially sempena Hari Raya ni..

Note: The translation is not done by me so I do not guarantee that it is correct. The best thing is to go and see any Terengganu folks around you and have him/her to translate it for you. If they refuse, tell me. Nanti aku ketuk kepala dia

Yey!

I finally got my copy of one of my most anticipated book;

May 13: Declassified Documents on The Malaysian Riots of 1969

Read the review: Click here

I am really happy to get this book because:

1) I tried to look for it since it was out last year. Tried a few MPH and small bookstores around town but to no avail.

2) 1 of the bookseller (mamak bookstore) told me that the book was banned by the govt. I couldnt believe this. What I know is that the book was seized by the KDN officers after it was launched (not all but from several bookstores were seized). If it really is banned, then Blistering Barnacles! I think we need to teach those officers the TRUE meaning of the word "declassified documents" and "open-mindedness".

3) I always love to know what people involved think. In other words, I want to get second thought from the people that were involved directly, not the people who reported as reports nowadays tend to be manipulated by some scumbags who have their own bastard agendas (What? U're not happy with that word? Get lost!)

I managed to buy the Chin Peng biography (Alias Chin Peng: My Side of History) before it was banned by the govt. So far that is the book I read the most; almost 3 times! And it was an extremely worth buy (even the price was a freaking RM80 bucks @ Kinokuniya) and made my brother in-law who is a Special Branch officer jerked his eyes to me when he saw me reading the book (he never said anything though!). From there we know what really happened. What was in his mind. Why did he do those things. I am no supporter of him, I must say but there are some things that is unique from his thinking that have never been reported in any history books......

Enough of the crappy talk! I wanna get down and enjoy reading this book!

Happy reading to me!

Important Note: To some extend posting of new posts might be slower than before. Let me finish the book first..

And The Winner Goes To.......

Found this interesting article on Malaysian Politics which I think was published in The Malay Mail some time ago. Get your sense ready and please, spare me some time to talk about politics, folks! Blistering Barnacles!

The Malaysian Political Oscars!
Our political situation is like something out of a movie - so here are the awards. The envelope, please…

The Wide Angle Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, headquartered for no particular reason in Skudai, presents this year’s Malaysian Political Oscars.

The most widely watched television event in Malaysia, the Political Oscar telecast reaches over 1 billion viewers, some of whom are dead, some of whom are 130 years old, and most of whom are registered at the same address.

How does it work? Members of the academy (all Malaysian taxi drivers who despite being allegedly the worst in the world at driving taxis are remarkably good at political analysis) vote on these awards, and the results are tabulated by the auditors of some large accounting firm who would rather do this sort of thing than real accounting work, which might explain the state of the economy.

Here are the nominees and winners.

Best Supporting Actor
It is a crowded field this year, with many stellar performances from both veterans and newcomers.

The nominees include private investigator P. Balasubramaniam in Missing; Pusrawi’s Dr. Mohd Osman in Rear Window; Zaid Ibrahim in Gone in Sixty Seconds; and Raja Petra Kamaruddin in An Inconvenient Truth.

But the Best Supporting Actor Oscar goes to Penang Umno leader Ahmad Ismail for his controversial performance in Pride and Prejudice.

Despite his recent success, which led to him being cast in Under Siege and Raging Bull, Ahmad has flatly refused roles in the films Anger Management and Atonement.

Best Supporting Actress
For her critically-acclaimed performance in Minority Report, this year’s Best Supporting Actress Oscar goes to Sinchew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng.

Interestingly, immediately after that film completed principal photography, Tan was the unwitting star of Catch and Release, a film that may or may not have been directed by Syed Hamid Albar, depending on which version of the studio press kit you read.

Tan spent just 18 hours on location, before quitting, citing creative differences.

Best Cinematography
For his impactful camera work in the V.K. Lingam vehicle The Conversation, the Oscar for Cinematography goes to Gwo Loh Burne.

(Although The Conversation was shot some time ago, due to his refusal to be credited for many months, Gwo Loh Burne could not be given the award earlier. When he finally came forward, this legal thriller was re-released in some markets as The Burne Identity.)

The Conversation beat out Entrapment, starring Chua Soi Lek, which also features an anonymous cinematographer.

Best Foreign-Language Film
Agricultural Study Tour, a Taiwanese sleeper hit, was shot entirely by coincidence, supposedly with no director and no funding.

Nonetheless, a sequel, Exile on My Taiwanese Farm: Peeling my Taugeh might be filmed next year with some of the original cast.

Best Original Screenplay
Jumper, written by Anwar Ibrahim, wins this year’s award. Although the film suffers from a cast of unknowns, whose number seems to fluctuate from scene to scene (though always at least 31), the script is undeniably original and exciting. It also has the potential for numerous sequels, which will prove profitable for the actors.

Best Adapted Screenplay
Written by a team of in-house screenwriters from the Attorney-General’s Studios, The Accused, starring Anwar Ibrahim, is allegedly adapted from instructions given by political superiors. A remake of the 1998 flop, but with many of the same actors and production team.

Best Actress
Seputeh Member of Parliament Teresa Kok was competing against herself this year with sterling performances in a slew of releases: Election; Woman on Top; Supergirl; and, in cinemas until last Friday, the black comedy Enemy of the State.

She wins the Best Actress Oscar, however, for her most famous role, Miss Congeniality, which has earned her praise from audiences and critics alike.

Best Actor
The big stars of yesteryear dominated the Best Actor category this year.

Nominees include S. Samy Vellu in Gone With The Wind; Dr. Mahathir Mohamed in V for Vendetta; and both Najib Tun Razak and Abdullah Ahmad Badawi in the comedy Trading Places.

The winner, however, of the Malaysian Political Oscar for Best Actor is Abdullah Ahmad Badawi for his flawless, nuanced, masterful performance in Eyes Wide Shut.

Best Picture
The nominees for Best Picture in the Malaysian Political Oscars are all gripping epics.

They include the moving story of the many members of Parti Sosialis Malaysia, The Magnificent Seven; the Khairy Jamaluddin biopic Million Dollar Baby; the Hindraf saga, Out for Justice; and the tale of Gerakan in the Barisan Nasional, The End of the Affair.

The winner for Best Picture, however, is the story of the MCA’s struggle against the Internal Security Act, Look Who’s Talking Now.

Lifetime Achievement Award
For his astonishing film career spanning many decades, and including both commercial hits and small but critically-acclaimed art-house movies, Anwar Ibrahim wins the Lifetime Achievement Award.

His roles, in chronological order, include: Wild at Heart; The Young Guns; The Great Debaters; Sleeping With The Enemy; The Insider; The Sweet Smell of Success; Reversal of Fortune; Cast Away; The Accused; The Cell; Cry Freedom!; Into the Wild; Back to the Future; Mission: Impossible; The Perfect Storm; and, most recently, Eastern Promises.

Depending on the outcome of contract negotiations, Anwar’s next movies may include The King and I; Top Gun; and Great Expectations.

Alternatively, he may take roles in Crash; The Departed; and The Forgotten. That’s the thing about show business - you never know what the big stars will do next!

That’s all for this year’s edition of the Malaysian Political Oscars. See you on the red carpet next year!

Thanks to Huzir for publishing his article at his newly registered blog - ‘Wide Angle‘. Let’s extend him a big welcome to the blogosphere.

Now this is a piece of work!! Pity how much many Malaysians missed out, because of that spike. Stupid The Star, it has denied Malaysians the right to laugh at ourselves. Hey, Wong Chun Wai, is that you that spiked the article? Your article is not funny (often singing praises and glories about the government) and you got jealous? HA! HA! HA!

If there is anything that Malaysians (Asians as well) lack of, it is the ability to make fun and laugh at ourselves. That is why we are being sensitive for no convincing reason, when are we going to get ’sensitized?’

Huzir probably should include more categories such as:

*************************************************************

Best Local Movie

List of nomines:

Jangan Main Belakang starring Saiful Bukhari (Main Actor) and Anwar Ibrahim(Supporting Actor)

Zombie Kampung Pisang starring Shaberry Cheek for his brilliant of potrayal of foamy mouth, reminds you of hungry zombie.

Best TV Shows

List of nominees:

Jangan Tidur Lagi with Best Host: Anwar Ibrahim and Best Guest: Abdullah Ahmad Badawi;

Seekers, a a series where a group of people go searching for and trying to prove the existence of things that are not there, starring PDRM Special Branch boys;

Hari Ini Dalam Sejarah with Best Editor: Tun Dr Mahathir for his selective portrayal of Malaysian history.

*************************************************************

We need to have the most sensational, star glittering Oscar in Malaysia so keep your suggestions coming, people!!!

Speaking 25,000 words on Hari Raya

People said A Picture Speaks A Thousand Words so as I am posting 25 pictures I took using my (my??) Sony DSC P70 during Hari Raya , I think the post title is valid....

LAYANNNNNN

First 1000 words

Note: This is the typical opening style of taking pictures forHari Raya, the traditional "Whole Family" Picture. Note that Aiman was missing. He was asleep due to high fever that morning (This is what they call Demam Raya?)

Other 1000 words (korang kira sendirilah! Takkan nak kira satu persatu sampai 50!)

Note: Backdate a little bit. These 2 pictures show 2 happy chaps enjoying their rough balik kampung ride. Yes, that's the picture of Aiman before the Muntah tragedy. The chap in blue shirt on top is enjoying the "Asap Bas Pun Bau Wangi" moments.

Note: My father, with his usual set of green Baju Melayu lengkap dengan samping

Note: Pa and Ma with their beloved grandchildren (1 is missing, you can find him in the picture below). Ermmm.. maybe u can only see the feet in the buai, with the mother scratching the head on how to wake him up..

The 2 pictures below are the pictures of our typical Hari Raya treat: Nasi Dagang Adah Gondang,Satay and Nasi Tomato for 2nd day (P/S: The Nasi Tomato pictures are taken from my sis' blog . Please note that the physical appearance may look the same but there are no guarantee that the taste is the same..hehehe).. Hey! The Nasi Dagang and Satay pictures are also taken from around the blogs and not the real that we had... Sorry. Blistering Barnacles to me!

Nasi Dagang Adah Gondang

Nasi Tomato

Kari Ayam (Kuah Nasi Tomato)

Sate Ayam

Next thousand words

Note: Me, Aiman (sibuk tengok ayam, tak pernah tengok ayam secara live before) and wifey at Tok Su's House. Note that our typical "must-go" houses on Hari Raya are Tok Su's, Chu Las', Duyung Besar and Ayah Man's. Well, we did go to all houses except Ayah Man's as Aiman's temperature was as if able to boil an egg..

Note: Pictures of 3 happy chaps playing together and with their grandpa. As always, the chap in the blue strips shirt is the toughest to control to get a good picture...

Before Yong took off on the second day of Raya we still managed to go to the infamous Projek Pembaziran Duit Taman Tamadun Islam and Masjid Kristal to snap some pictures (Hey! Who said it's membazir? At least you can snap pictures what?? Blistering Barnacles!)

As usual, Husna played her role as being a kakak very well to gather up the chaps for a snap...

Wondering what this guy is up to...

So this is the famous Masjid Kristal which consumed millions of Rakyat money to show the world how Islamic we are... (Sorry I'm being tooo emotional! Blistering Barnacles)

Before the pictures above were shot, we actually stopped by the playground just after the entrance of TTI. This is another proof that the project is not membazir as even the youngest citizen of Malaysia can get the benefits out of it (Kenikmatan dikongsi bersama.. Blistering Barnacles)

Aiman and his first experience main buaian...

3 Happy Cousins playing

That's about all. I havent had the chance to go to a lot of houses due to the condition of Aiman. Luckily before we got back, Ma made some Barley drink for Aiman which gave direct impact to his health. At least the body temp is not that high anymore...

Next to come: Pictures to friends' open houses. No! We are not doing any open house this year due to rumah yang terlalu bersepah Please take note folks!

SAFE AND SOUND (Part II)

Now it's my turn to be Safe and Sound.

I arrived safely at Kuala Terengganu at about 1.45am yesterday, after a whopping 12 hours of drive from Johor. It was a hell of a drive home, with lots of (cars of course) things happened.

We took off at about 2pm on Saturday, stopped by at in-law's house and waited for Azrul and his family for a convoy back home. It was the rough winding and bumpy road from Kota Tinggi to Mersing that made Aiman vomitted a (very) lot upon reaching Mersing. I was with him at the back of the car when it happened. He was having his full-bottle milk when he suddenly woke up and the face started to turn bleak and red, and suddenly, BURRRRGHH! One whole load of isi perut hit directly to the back seat... And since we are already (very) late that time we decided to move on..and enjoy the "aromatherapy" throughout the journey.

It was until we stopped for a refuel after having our Iftar at ROhank's house that I managed to find an Ambi Pur with Odour Eliminator (bought for a freaking RM18 vs RM14 sold at TESCO! Blistering Barnacles) and the chap did the job very well, leaving behind a minimal smell of the muntah and 3 happy persons in the car..

Yong offered his house for us to stop over for a night but Azrul refused and wanted to continue. No choice because kesian of his anak kecik, we decided to continue as well. But as soon as I were to speed in the early roads of the Jerangau-Jabor road, where one driver should take the advantages of a smooth straight long road for atleast 20kms, Azrul went sleepy and drove his car at merely 60km/h! Since it was night time and I didnt notice that he was left far behind (and thanks to the fact that there are slightest cellphone coverage ever), the moment I realized I slowed down but to no sight of his car! Until I stopped my car for a whopping 10minutes then he arrived, loking extremely sleepy. So we decided to stop by for a cup of coffee.

I know myself very well. I can only tahan to drive till 2am, no more than that. The moment we took off from the coffee break, it was already 11pm and we still have ~160kms more to go! So I pushed him hard to get him drive faster (and managed to!), thanks to the masterpiece technique taught by Salam last time (anybody wants to know the technique, please email me personally! ).

Finally we managed to arrive home safely at 145am, ~45mins off from my initial target. Though it was hard and exhausting, it is still a very good journey since it's the authentic BALIK RAYA KE KAMPUNG journey, which somebody said "Bau asap bas pun wangi" kehkehkeh...

P/S: Still in "Car Lag" :)

Mengantuk!

The word ‘fatigue’ is used in everyday living to describe a range of afflictions, varying from a general state of lethargy to a specific work induced burning sensation within muscle. Physiologically, ‘fatigue’ describes the inability to continue functioning at a prescribed work rate (Gandevia SC et al, 1995; Hagberg M, 1981; Hawley JA et al, 1997) in the presence of an increased perception of effort (Enoka RM et al, 1992). Fatigue is ubiquitous in everyday life, but becomes particularly marked during heavy exercise.

Source: Wikipedia

"Ngantuk weii "

"Bagai orang mengantuk disorongkan bantal"

"Haiya, wa manyak mengantuk wooo"

"Ngatuk deh kawe" (Bahasa Kelantan)

Mamber aku selalu cakap, penyakit mengantuk ni satu jer ubatnya:

Tidur

Tidoq (Loghat Utara)

Tido atah lembek (Loghat Kelantan)

Tdo (bahasa chatting atau time SMS)

Rule of The Jungle: Survival of the Fittest

I've been browsing through my previous blog today to gather up some ideas on what to write and found the very magical picture that perfectly describes myself (particularly my working life). Thanks to National Geographic

Layannnnn!

Safe and Sound

It's good to know that my sis has arrived safely and soundly in London a few days ago, although not "as sound as somebody would expect". Mana taknya, they dont even have a house to live in! What a pity. Anybody here that can help?

But the best part of living overseas is surviving and settling down in the first few weeks. Then it'll be an enjoyable stay..

To my sis: Happy House Hunting. Looks like you need to Cari Rumah Raya when everybody here Cari Baju Raya..hehe

Ramadhan Treat

I just got back from a tiring whole-day journey to Batu Pahat yesterday to visit wife's uncle who passed away the night before due to old sick (sakit tua..hehe). On our way back we stopped by Uncle Esnawi's (also one of my wife's uncle)house just to say hello. At 4pm arrived at Kota Tinggi to drop my in-laws, then rushed back to Pasir Gudang to get ready for the Iftar at Tanjong Puteri Golf Resort.

Hey! I'm not gonna talk on what I've gone thru yesterday! I'm gonna talk of what's on the main topic of this post: Ramadhan Treat.

One of the "specialty" of having Ramadhan around is to have somebody to sponsor you for a berbuka puasa in a classy place. To date, I've been to nearly a dozen of Iftar invitations, all sponsored by either wife's subcontractor or my company's supplier.

However I see some bad things that can pop up when u are used to these kind of "habit" of going to sponsored Iftar treat:

1) As if you have loads of money but actually you have not

2) Having to eat more then usual.."Eh makanan tu aku tak try lagi lah!" which in parallel will make you feel dizzy "and try to find the surau with the fastest Tarawikh". ;)

3) Dapur tak berasap!

4) Will be waiting (hoping) for the same treat every year..hehehe

On a nother note, the good parts of it are:

1) Makan Free lah ! Apa lagi?

2) You can eat multiple types of food in one treat

3) You dont need to go to the Pasar Ramadhan to buy your food

4) Somebody serves you your drink! An you can ask whatever you want and still have the chap smiling at you.. Hehehehe

Sometimes I feel like we are demonstrating in silence over the order by Allah for fasting by eating a lot during berbuka, which I always do!

2009 Honda City

The new techy-looking Honda City 2009 was officially launched in Thailand on 10th September.

Still powered by the 1.5liter i-VTEC mated to a 5-speed auto or manual (probably only the auto ones will reach our shores).

Six colours are available - Habanero Red Pearl, Deep Lapis Blue Metallic, Alabaster Metallic, Polished Metal Metallic and Bold Beige Metallic and Crystal Black Pearl. Sadly white is not available but maybe it will be in Malaysia if Honda Malaysia deems it as a potentially popular colour, which I think it would.

Blistering Barnacles?

I've got a few questions from my colleagues on the weird name of this blog.

Why Blistering Barnacles?

Well, basically the word Blistering Barnacles comes from one comic strip which I was really addicted to when I was young, The Adventures of Tintin by Belgian artist, Hergé.

I am so influenced to the character Captain Haddock (circled in red), who always use the words "Blistering Barnacles" when he is mad at something or somebody, especially when somebody did some stupid things.

I became soo fond of this character and his words, I even used this words from then (when I was about 13yeras old) till now when I'm upset or when I'm mad at somebody or something (maybe this is what they call a bad influence from comics...??)

So from now on, each time I say "the word", you know what I mean......

In Danger, Anyone?

I am no man of politics. But I am very much concerned over a few things that happened around us these few days, some of which really makes us (the nation?) look stupid.. Read the news below:

ISA reda ketegangan

Polis kelmarin menahan pengendali blog Malaysia Today, Raja Petra Kamaruddin, Ahli Parlimen Seputeh, Teresa Kok dan wartawan Sin Chew Daily, Tan Hoon Cheng mengikut ISA.

"Polis mengambil kira pelbagai faktor sebelum membuat keputusan.

"Keselamatan terancam" (her life in danger)? This is the first time I ever heard somebody being arrested/detained (or whatever term one may use) under ISA "because his/her life is in danger". All this while I thought ISAs were meant to be for the ruthless criminals or anybody that can bring harm to the country but I never (or am I being too stupid?) know that you can also be arrested/detained (or whatever term one may use) under ISA even if YOU are in danger!

So please anybody, if you are in danger after this, DO NOT GO TO THE POLICE or they might detain/arrest (or whatever term one may use) you under the ISA to protect your life.....
